The Main focus of this book is: 1. Studying and analyzing of the uncertain behavior of the steam turbine system by identifying the uncertain parameters in the plant which have a direct effect on the system's performance and representing these parameters together with the neglected dynamics of the plant by a single complex perturbation from which the uncertainty weight will be derived. 2. Synthesizing a sub-optimal H-infinity robust controller for the steam turbine system using a state-space approach and testing the robust stability and performance of the system with the existence of the quantified uncertainty. 3. Designing an optimal H-infinity robust controller for the steam turbine system using a polynomial approach and evaluating the system stability and performance under the same considered uncertainty but with additive representation. 4. Evaluating the proposed controllers by making a comparative study between them in time and frequency domains. 5.
