Health Informatics is the rapidly developing scientific field that utilizes computer technology in the advancement of medicine. Health Informatics is mainly divided into Consumer health informatics (Clinical Information Systems) and Provider oriented medical informatics (Patient Monitoring Systems). The Patient Monitoring Systems aims to provide automated healthcare delivery services to the patients. Mobile Patient Monitoring (MPM), a sub-area underneath Patient Monitoring, refers to continuous or frequent measurement and analysis of biosignals of patients by employing mobile computing and wireless communication technologies. Mobile patient monitoring systems have shown progress in terms of basic core functionalities needed for monitoring and detection of biosignals. However, their deployment is restricted to a small segment of health care delivery. The feature oriented domain analysis method provides a generic description of the requirements of a systems and a set of techniques for their implementation. The FODA method is based on the study of other domain analysis approaches, which defines both the products and the process of domain analysis.
