Wahpetunwin Carolynn Schommer is a well-known Dakota language speaker and teacher who taught for more than two decades in the Dakota language program at the University of Minnesota. She has co-produced an extensive array of Dakota language curriculum materials and has served as a consultant on numerous language projects.
