Economy culture and religion is deeply inter-related with each other. The social structure of a community or ethnic group is intimately related with this aspect. Anthropology being a holistic study of man focuses deep attention on this approach. However, there are a large section of unorganized occupational sector. Their culture is a part of religion and simultaneously it is a part of their economy. Often such sectors are ignored and their cultural tradition remain unfocused in the context of human civilization. In the contemporary period anthropology has extended its emic perspective from global to local and from great to little tradition. In this context, to understand the society, culture and civilization, it is the time to conduct value oriented research work. India is a multi ethnic and multicultural country. In this context, the cultural tradition of indigenous communities, ethnic and occupational groups bears a special resemblance. The present study has been done from the perspective to understand the cultural tradition from a holistic perspective.
