Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a common sports injury, especially in pivot/contact sports. ACL reconstruction is currently an increasingly common procedure using a variety of well-coded techniques. Despite this, a failure rate of up to 27% has been reported in the literature. This is due to a multitude of factors, the most incriminated of which is the faulty positioning of the transplant. However, other factors have not been well elucidated in the literature. The objective of our work is to elucidate the factors incriminated in the failure of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, in order to establish recommendations to prevent and/or minimize this risk.
