Wizards and others of the magical persuasion were slow to emigrate and join the early colonists. When Wizards did begin to cross to the new world they arrived sporadically and in small numbers. Everyone arriving in those early times realized that co-operation was necessary for survival. The new world became a great melting pot bringing together diverse cultures. Ways were found to work together, and mutual need built a trust relationship not seen elsewhere in the world between ones of the magical persuasion and ordinary people. A very different tradition developed in America between Wizards and ordinary people. This is a story of how one great instance of co-operation came about.
