The series will showcase some of the greatest collections of railway posters to be found anywhere in the world. Of the several thousand railway posters published since the Victorian era, fewer than 10% have featured in poster books. Now, in a unique arrangement with the National Railway Museum, which has opened its archives, and using images from specialist poster auctioneer Onslows, this book, aims to re-dress that imbalance. While many 'classic' images will be used, posters from British Rail and the current railway operators, such as Virgin, are also promised.
