This book addresses the Fockfall hazard mapping based on kinematic analysis and rock classification systems of Sub-Himalaya zone of Palpa and Butwal Districts west Nepal. In Nepal the north-south highway passes through the sub-Himalaya zone. This zone is characterized by young sedimentary rocks such as sandstone and mudstone. The properties of mudstone is to dissolve in water and saturated then flow easily but sandstone is hard rock can not easily dissolve in which results overhanging of hard sandstone. if the mudstone beds go away then automatically sandstone disintegrate into blocks. The alignment of north-south highway and orientation of Subhimalaya also determined the rockfall nature. This book gives the five level of hazard zones within 2300 m length of Siddartha Highway categories from very low hazard, low hazard, moderate hazard, high hazard and very high hazard zones. This book also gives mitigation measures from rockfall problems for protection of people and properties.
