But whether the story is fiction or a true historical account, it beautifully illustrates how God's perspective of man's wrongdoing is far different than that of man. In this story, Pupak's tribe has largely been killed off by invasive efforts of Portuguese-speaking Brazilians and Pupak is forced to learn, as Jonah had, that despite his anger toward the Brazilians, revenge is not the answer.
