This book has introduced the knowledge that concerns the occurrence of puffer fish species in the eastern Mediterranean, Egyptian coast. It has 298 pages with ten separate chapters; has introduced the data about their fisheries, distribution and species diversity with recording new species in such habitats as well as reflect the status of the invasion to Mediterranean Sea, particularly that from Red Sea (Lesssepsian migrants). These data were unknown before in the area. Due to the importance of the lessepsian fish species L. sceleratus, this considered as a famous and challenge fish species among fisheries scientists and pharmacologists which need critical control and management plan. The phylogenetic comparison of L. sceleratus (Gemlin, 1879) from Mediterranean Sea and Red Sea has been studied. Moreover, this work threw highlights on its stock status, age, growth, reproductive behavior and population dynamics to management plan of this important species especially for that from Mediterranean Sea to know its status after migration to new habitat and to support the scientific field with the unknown data about such important species.
