One deals with a man who's lost his job and as a result has an emotional breakdown; another attempts to philosophically interpret an horrific dream; one interprets two of the Buddha's sutras connecting to another story in the collection; another is a metaphor on trying to fix a broken marriage; the last two strive to define hope amidst the chaos and the drama personified in the previous four stories with one reminiscing over being a teen and wide-eyed and the last finding tranquility in a new home.
