Professor Thomas G. Schulze, MD studied medicine in Germany, the USA, and Catalonia. He trained as a psychiatrist and has held positions in Germany and the USA. Since 2014, he has held the position of Director of the Institute of Psychiatric Phenomics and Genomics at the Ludwig-Maximilans-University of Munich (IPPG). He currently serves as the President of the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics (ISPG).
Professor Francis J. McMahon, MD received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins in 1987, where he also completed a medical internship, a residency in adult psychiatry, and a post-doctoral fellowship in genetics. He is a Senior Investigator and Chief of the Human Genetics Branch in the National Institute of Mental Health Intramural Research Program at the US National Institutes of Health. He is also a visiting Professor of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and past
president of the ISPG.
