Project'67 An Israeli Odyssey is the story of a young Australian woman in her early 20's who finds herself on an impulsive trip to Israel where she signs up to spend some time on a small Kibbutz in the Negev Desert in the late 1970's. During her time in Israel she visits nearby Gaza and Jerusalem and travels down through the Sinai Peninsular to the Red Sea among the Bedouin desert people. 1978 is the year Israel's new political boundaries have been extended allowing foreigners access to a part of the country that once belonged to Egypt for generations. The author not only discovers the roots of her own Jewish heritage but discovers herself through unrequited love. When an unexpected tragedy occurs she is lead on a journey through a foreign land of political unrest where a mysterious relationship is revealed that gives her the answers she has been searching for.
