The General Services Administration (GSA) has been involved in 3D imaging since the early 2000s. Since 3D imaging was a relatively new technology at that time, GSA needed to develop and provide initial guidance to their project managers (PMs) on 3D imaging technology and on how to develop the scope and specifications (scope of work or SOW) for 3D imaging projects. In the mid to late 2000s, GSA developed initial guidance, in the form of a template for the SOW, based on the following criteria: ease of use for GSA project managers and the need to accommodate widely varying project types and project requirements. This report presents a summary of the workshop discussions. A list of the workshop participants is given in Appendix A. The agenda is given in Appendix B. A list of the questions that was sent out to the workshop participants prior to the workshop is given in Appendix C. Comments on the GSA's SOW for 3D-4D-BIM services received from the contractors are reproduced in Appendix D.
