Dr. Murali Mohan Banerjee retired from A. C. College, Jalpaiguri, Affiliated to University of North Bengal, as the Departmental Head of Department of Mathematics in 1998. He served this college for more than 34 years and taught applied mathematics to his students to honors’ level explicitly on Dynamics of particles and rigid bodies. He started his research career in 1968 and obtained his PH.D (SC.) degree from the University of North Bengal in the year 1976. He has done an extensive work on Nonlinear vibration of Plates and shells resulting in more than 100 papers in refuted Journals. He had a major success in extending the Constant Deflection Contour Method to Nonlinear dynamics of plates and shells. Most of his works have been reported in Google Scholarly Articles. Some of the papers have attracted the attention of International Research workers from various countries. Dr. Banerjee (as a Founder Member) remains instrumental in Organizing ICOVP (International Conferences in Vibration Problems) Activities since 1990.
