In the first section you'll find some useful information about money basics-we refer to this as the basic economic survival part. In the second section you'll find lots of ideas about how to spend money better-this is the part we refer to as advanced power spending. Before we go any further we need to let you know what this book is and what it isn't. We'll begin with this explanation. There are six areas of financial planning: cash management, risk management, investment planning, special needs planning, estate planning and tax planning. We will only cover the first area-cash management. If you need specific and individual help and advice in any of these areas we recommend that you work with a certified financial planner or other specialist. And just what does cash management cover? Net worth, cash flow, debt management and emergency planning, for example, but also the many different ways you use your money. We'll go into more detail in the book-we don't want to spoil the surprise So, what's in it for you? That's always the bottom line.
