Dr Vinay K Kapoor (MS, FRCSEd) received surgical training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi India. He is currently professor of surgical gastroenterology at the Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow India. He has been a visiting professor at the King’s College Hospital, London and the International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur. He has been an examiner for MRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, England and Glasgow. Dr Kapoor’s areas of research interest are bile duct injury and gall bladder cancer. He is globally recognized as an authority on bile duct injury and has published book chapters and articles in journals on the same topic. He has also delivered lectures at conferences and institutions in many countries on bile duct injury. He has recently launched an online education portal called Prashna India.
