All that has been said about play in children allows us to present here only a few remarks on the use of play in psychoanalysis and child psychotherapy.The ex-pressive and creative possibilities of play undoubtedly explain why it constitutes in itself a valid modality of psychotherapy. Psychoanalysts obviously cannot neglect, as we have just shown, the relational implications linked to their presence.
