Striae distensae is a challenging cosmetic problem for which various treatment modalities have been applied. However, the treatment of striae distensae has not been satisfactory. Platelet-rich plasma has wound-healing properties, affecting endothelial cells, and collagen which potentially aids in the healing of the localized chronic in_ammation believed to be a factor in the etiology of striae distensae.
