The aim of this study was to analyse the evolutionary process of a group of people injured by ankle sprains following a physiotherapeutic intervention using Kinesio taping techniques associated with proprioceptive exercises. The research was characterised by a case series study with a quantitative approach, in which a total of 4 participants of both sexes, aged between 18 and 35, took part in the sample. To process the data, a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet was used for comparative analyses in the pre- and post-intervention periods using graphs and tables. After analysing and discussing the results, it can be concluded that this research had a major influence on improving functional and mechanical stability after an ankle sprain injury; it is necessary to look for the retrograde effects generated by the injury. In view of the above, around 100 per cent of the patients in the study showed an evolutionary process to the loss of their deficient mechanisms; however, it was observed that the sample referring to grade II ligament injury will need a period longer than 10 sessions to show an even more significant improvement.
