This book provides essential information about high-pressure metamorphosed peridotites, central Japan. Three essential topics have been discussed from Chapter 2 to Chapter 4 in this book. Chapter 2 deals with the peculiar peridotite, enriched with Ti-rich chromian spinel, and its genesis to deepen our understanding of the forearc upper mantle materials and processes above the subducting slab. Chapter 3 reports trace and REE chemistry of peculiar hydrous peridotites with Ti-rich chromian spinel to unravel their petrogenesis and to provide important information about the enrichment processes occurring within the mantle wedge. Chapter 4 discusses the nature and origin of metasomatic agents and the retrogressive chemical change during interactions between fluids and mantle-wedge peridotites during and after metamorphism

O autorze

The first author was born in Beheira, Egypt, in 1975; he got Ph.D. (2010) in mantle petrology from Kanazawa University, Japan. He is a Lecturer of geochemistry at Kafr El-Sheikh University and now works as postdoctoral researcher at Kanazawa University, Japan. He is interested in mantle petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry.
