Her edition is closely based on the autograph of the 1864 original, as well as detailed examination of all other extant primary sources and the various posthumous published editions . . . It is the OUP/Fleming edition that has effectively blazed the trail and put the record straight. Its appearance should make the Ricordi/New Novello edition entirely redundant.
