Akshaya Project is the first district-wide e-literacy project in India and one of the largest known Internet Protocol (IP) based wireless networks in the world introduced in 2002, piloted in Malappuram district of Kerala State . The aim of the project is one person in every family to be computer literate in that district. Malappuram is now what is said to be Indias First E-literate District. The mission continues to make Kerala the First E-literate state in India.

Dr.Ayoob CP is the Head of The Department of International Business Administration, MOHE, Sultanate of Oman. He earned his Ph.D in 2005 from the University of Calicut, India. He has been teaching for the past twenty one years in various Colleges and Universities in India and abroad. He published number of articles in International refereed journal.
