Maximilian Hartmuth is an art historian employed with Universität Wien. His research focuses on the architectural history of Central and Southeast Europe. From 2018 to 2023 he has been the principal investigator in a European Research Council (ERC) project titled »Islamic Architecture and Orientalizing Style in Habsburg Bosnia, 1878-1918«.Ayse Dilsiz Hartmuth is a faculty member of Universität Wien's Department of Near Eastern Studies. A trained archaeologist, her current research focuses on critical heritage studies, with a focus on modern Turkey.
