Kevin Mahon is a preaching elder ministering within a very effective shepherding-eldership model. These elders have had a growing influence on some other fellowships and associations, and have been asked to come and share their shepherding-elder model. They are often asked, "How do you grow Elders?" Many pastors are looking for another program or a quick fix to answer this questions and accomplish this goal. They are not realizing that the answer is rooted in their theology of ministry, and their need to focus on their Biblical mandate, rather than the tyranny of expectations inherent in pastor-led churches. This manual, for Senior Pastors, Elders and church leadership, is primarly intended for the preaching pastor to walk through, in order to deconstruct their understanding of ministry and introduce them to they 'why' and 'how' of ministering within a plurality of elders. About the Author: Kevin Mahon has been the precahing elder at Peoples Church, Sarnia-Lambton, Ontario, for the past 13 years.
