"Paradise Made"
Milton lost paradise. Several others have tried to find it. Only one other has ever tried to create it.
"Paradise Made" is a thrilling escapist drama that involves the four horsemen of human motivation: Greed, Guilt, Fear and Revenge.
John Thompson is a young man just starting out in post collegiate life. When his wife and young son die in a plane crash, he goes into a tailspin. Losing his job and selling everything, he travels the U.S. testing the limits of alcoholism and suicide. He winds up in Australia after stealing a yacht from San Diego. After stealing dozens of yachts from both coasts becomes too risky he turns to stealing from banks, museums and jewelry stores (or rather manipulates people working at these establishments to steal for him). Thompson starts buying waterfront properties around the world setting up alternate ID's at each location. He has a different home for each month of the year and travels with only his wallet and keys. Of the four keys on his unique key chain, one each fits all of the homes, identical 1972 Mercedes 450SLs, 1968 Land Rovers and Sea Rays at each tropical hideaway.
In the pursuit of an endless summer, Thompson has all of his lives in perfect harmony until he loses control of his explosive temper. This lapse draws him into the sights of a small town Massachusetts cop, Mic Magee and an FBI agent from San Diego, Jim Warren. Both of these men have their own secrets, which must remain hidden despite their obsession with a phantom master criminal. Their search for a serial criminal, which all others believe to be nonsense, pulls the three men into a violent world of sex, greed and betrayal. This chase around the world leads from exotic locales to locked psychiatric wards and ultimately creates a situation in which only one can win.
