We have collected the data of economic activities like Gross Domestic Product, National Income per capita, Budget deficits, National Debt Ceilings, Stimulus Packages, Unemployment figures, Interest rates and Inflation for twenty selected countries that include United States, China, Japan, Germany, France, England, Brazil, Canada, Russia Australia, India and Turkey. We have gathered material related to political leadership, governing institutions, their success and failures. By analyzing collected data on different subject matters, we came to this conclusion that countries which have highly technical work force with good education background along with co operative relation existing between employers and the employee, have established themselves as shining example of sustained growth and prosperity. Countries with small size population like Scandinavian countries have better chances of making rapid economic progress compared to those countries which have large and unskilled work force. It is very true that Peace and Stability in the country is a prominent denominator for growth and forward momentum. In the modern day society, social, economic and political activities are closely interconnected. A fired up political leadership can transform the country's destiny to prosperity and well being; a corrupt and inefficient governing elite can lead the country to recession, high unemployment and turbulence in the country. After assessing the existing political realities of each country, we have expressed our opinion about the top leadership of that country, in terms of its effectiveness and competency to take the country forward towards greater economic growth or move to static condition. We have also pointed out areas where attention has to be paid and how things could be corrected. At the conclusion, we have projected how each country would move in terms of national growth, peace and prosperity and potential pitfalls, in the next five years, leading to 2020.
