About the Author and the Book I created & published this book of pictures and stories to honor my grandparents on my mother side. My name is Jobo Guerrero Elizes, the 2nd oldest grand child in the Guerrero Family of Talisay, Camarines Norte. The whole clan is described in pictures and stories in this book, starting from our grandparents, and then my parents, then their siblings, then my brothers and sisters, then my cousins, our descendants, and extended families through relatives and various affinities. I was born in 1934 in Manila but grew up partly in Camarines Norte during the Japanese time in the 1940s. My mother, Esther Guerrero, was the oldest child of the Guereros. The Guerreros are 10 children in all, and is quite a large family, as each one generated his or her clan, which form part of the Guerrero kindred. My biography is not of utmost important here. Suffice it to say that I created this book to document and describe in pictures and in little stories my various relatives in this family. Pictures convey thousand words. I am presenting them all here to convey stories via descriptive captions, names, places, events and occasions. Another purpose of this book is to relate the history of our family in order that the young generation will be able to trace their roots and family beginnings, otherwise there will be no other way to know their roots, relations, lineage, origins, names, birthdays, locations, professions, careers, phones and interesting aspects of their lives. I included also extended families who are related to my grandfather and grandmother on my mother side. My Elizes kin on my father side belongs to another book.
