The therapeutic part covers the interdisciplinary planning of the management of osteomyelitis which includes a microbiologist, an infectious disease specialist and a maxillofacial surgeon. Depending upon microbiology, precise antibiotic regimen for complete eradication of the micro organisms is tabulated, followed by a meticulous surgical rehabilitation of the jaws. In the final segment importance of hyperbaric oxygen as an adjunct to the therapy and osteomyelitis affecting the temporomandibular joint is covered. This book covers osteomyelitis from the history to its classification, diagnosis, pathology, imaging, and treatment in a simplified manner.
