This selection from the works of Rudolf Klein provides an opportunity to publish and display the wide–ranging and numerous writings he has produced throughout his working life. From the 1950s up until the present time he has displayed a consistency of good craftsmanship, style and intellectual rigour in his writing. The earliest works in this collection were written for literary journals in the mid 1950s immediately after Rudolf came down from Oxford and began his observations of society and politics; the most recent papers included come from Rudolf s current work at the Centre for the Analysis of Social Policy at Bath University.
