In this book, we provide analytical results andmethods for partitioned simulation of electricalcircuits. Special emphasis has been put on twopoints. First, the analytical results should havegraph theoretical interpretations. This requirementis based on the fact that the differential-algebraicequations arising in circuit simulation are oftenvery large and badly scaled and do not allow ananalysis with standard tools from linear algebra. Andsecondly, all methods shall work with standardcircuit simulation tools, such that these methods caneasily be included into existing software. The widelyused circuit simulation tool SPICE and thecorresponding netlist format have been used asreference.
