Eric Hayot is Professor of Comparative Literature at Penn State and director of its Asian Studies Program. He is the author of Chinese Dreams: Pound, Brecht, Tel Quel (University of Michigan Press, 2003) and The Hypothetical Mandarin (OUP, 2009).
