On October 6, 2012 during The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints General Conference, President Thomas S. Monson changed the age requirements for young men from 19 to 18 and young women from 21 to 19 years of age to be eligible to serve a mission. This changed things for young people everywhere, including the author. Logan was 19 when the announcement occurred and within a matter of hours she had an appointment to meet with her Bishop to prepare to go on a mission. A few weeks later she was called to serve in Brazil. Logan has always wanted to be a writer and has written many creative short stories and poems but this is her first novel. She started writing this right as she received her call and she finished edits of her final draft over 5 months later with less than a week before going to Provo to report at the Missionary Training Center (MTC). This book is the fictional account of 3 girls, all affected by the age change, who had been roomates at BYUI the semester prior to the announcement and how they each deal with the fact that they can now consider serving a mission and how that will affect their relationships with each other, the boys in their lives and their families. One last thing - the proceeds of the sale of this book are going toward Logan's mission to Brazil and if there are any extra funds beyond that they will be put toward supporting other missionaries who are either preparing to leave or leaving soon.
