The lipids obtained from microalgae are considered promising sources of renewable energy with greater uptake of atmospheric CO2, accelerated cell growth and biotechnological potential in various areas such as pharmaceutical, cosmetic, environmental, food and energy. The objective of this work was to evaluate the content and lipid profile of the oil from the microalgae Ankistrodesmus sp. and Desmodesmus sp. in different growing conditions for the biodiesel production. The microalgae were evaluated during 15 and 20 days of culture using Bold 3N, ASM 1 and BG 11 media, with variations in nitrate, phosphate and iron concentration. Cell growth, dry weight, lipid content was determined and gas chromatography was obtained to determine the lipid profile. For Ankistrodesmus sp. the BG-11 medium presented a better condition for the production of the lipids of interest in nitrate depletion with approximately 60% stearic acid (C18.0) and 25% palmitic acid (C16.0) and this condition presented cell growth of 2.40x107 cel.mL-1 and dry biomass of 0.896 ± 0.5 gL-1.
