Now is the appointed time to reform the Roman Catholic Church. It is well documented, Jesus was a radical, an advocate for meaningful change in light of a broken system that exits in the Catholic Church today. The leadership of the Church must presently seize the moment for revolutionary transformation by mandating much needed change. The Church, as the body of Christ, must always renew and update itself now and into the future through the process of ecclesia semper reformanda, see I make all things new (Rev. 21:5-6). This is the call for meaningful change, for the spirit of God cannot be ignored; it will find its way into the heart of the faithful despite the unreasonableness of the stubborn few. Change and reform are necessary as the churches are empty at Sunday Mass, dwindling enrollment in Catholic schools, the number of priests are declining, life of women in the convent has all but disappeared, and Catholics are systematically leaving the Church of their fathers. This is but an indication of the seriousness in the life of the Church. Thus reform and renewal is absolutely essential -- and it must be now!
