Reviews at end Book 1 of serial "New World Order Rising," The Abduction, based on material written by conspiracy theorists. The daughter and granddaughter of main character, Carter Banks, are abducted by professionals hired by the Illuminati. Carter hires Harley Maxwell, ex-army to help. A GPS chase leads from Fargo, ND, to a Satanist Illuminati camp in New Mexico. They see a storage area for casket-liners, a concentration camp, and witness a union striker roundup by black-uniformed police. Harley, an expert on the Illuminati, schools Carter, who doesn't care about politics and just wants his children back. The following material gives some idea about the Illuminati. The original Manchurian Candidate movie appeared in 1962. A Korean War POW, was brainwashed by the Communists to become a political assassin. A movie, same name, appeared in 2004. Their premise was the same: Brainwashing, Politics, Assassinations. Do I believe brainwashing can work? With today's technologies, drugs, techniques, Yes. One theory suggests the Illuminati abduct individuals with certain qualities-shyness, quiet, loner, and brainwash them to become mass shooters. Think about it: Most shooters are either completely wacko, or, at the end of their killing spree commit suicide. Brainwashing could work in either case: The sound of approaching sirens signals to become wacko, or self-destruct, giving law enforcement, basically, nothing for clues. A subplot introduces Whit Malcolm, a loner young man on the edge emotionally, who is brainwashed to carry out a major mass shooting. According to Conspiracy theorists, America is #1 on the Illuminati's list to disarm. After the American civilian is disarmed, America herself will not stand long against the powerful Illuminati. When America is defeated, the rest of the world will follow, obediently, into slavery. Without nationwide Minutemen, so to speak, to 'defend..., ' well, think of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's words, "You cannot invade America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." But, no more...? As a last word, the Illuminati-or whoever they are-have been striving toward world domination for generations, even hundreds of years. Please remember Nazi Germany and Communist Russia. Do we think such an evil force cannot happen again? It has happened again and again from time immemorial. We, today, no matter how smart we think we are with our electronic gadgets, are not immune from totalitarianism. **** Reviews: 5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping read , July 20, 2013 By david sloma I found this a compelling and interesting story. That the subject matter is very plausible, and has been the subject of non-fiction books made it even more spooky James weaves a thrilling "chase" with the characters, giving them a vibrancy as the puzzle unfolds, taking the reader into some very unsettling territory that needs to be examined. If you like stories about good people battling dark forces, check this one out 5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting Read, November 9, 2013 By Kim This is one book you will find very interesting This book will cause one to think about the behind the scenes (mysterious dark places) within our world...The author is very talented in delivering a riveting story.
