In Part III, this book demonstrates a variety of MCDM applications, including project management, financial investment, credit risk analysis, railway transportation, online advertising, transport infrastructure, environmental pollution, chemical industry, and regional economy. The 17 papers of the book have been selected out of the 121 accepted papers at the 20th International Conference on Multiple Criteria Decision Making "New State of MCDM in 21st Century," held at Chengdu, China, in 2009. O autorze

Yong Shi is Professor and the Executive Deputy Director, Chinese Academy of Sciences Research Center on Fictitious Economy & Data Science and a professor of Information Technology, College of Information Science and Technology, Peter Kiewit Institute, University of Nebraska. He has published more than 15 books and over 200 papers in numerous MCDM-related journals and conference proceedings. Shouyang Wang received his Ph.D. from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986 and is presently chair Professor of Systems Management at Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the author or co-author of 25 books and over 200 papers in leading journals on decision analysis, financial management and economic analysis. Dr. Gang Kou is a professor of School of Management and Economics, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and managing editor of International Journal of Information Technology & Decision Making. He has published more than eighty papers in various peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Jyrki Wallenius is Professor of Management Science at the Aalto University School of Economics, Finland. He is the President of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making and a former Editor of the European Journal of Operational Research. Wallenius serves currently as the Dean of his school. He has published some 100 papers on topics related to MCDM, decision support, negotiations, and auctions.
