The economic burden of dementia was estimated as being US$ 604 billion in 2010. Now it is time for new guidelines in handling of neurodegenerative disorders. The crucial role of the integrative approach by PPPM has been acknowledged as priorities by World Health Organization, United Nations and the European Union among others. Extensive efforts of international consortia are essential in the field to consolidate the accumulated expertise and to create population screening, robust diagnostic approaches, effective prevention in groups at high risk and targeted treatments.
