The Author: R. W. Dyson received his M.A. and Ph.D. in political theory from the University of Durham, United Kingdom, where he now teaches in the School of Government and International Affairs, specializing in the history of political thought. Among his many publications is Natural Law and Political Realism in the History of Political Thought, Volume I: From the Sophists to Machiavelli (Peter Lang, 2005).
