In this book, various solution based deposition methods for carbon nanotube based thin films are discussed. Then extensive studies about the transport properties are presented, including density, temperature, voltage, and frequency dependence. The density study of the conductivity of rare networks reveals two-dimensional percolation behavior. The temperature dependent reveals that tunneling between the SWNT-SWNT junctions is the governing mechanism for carriers transport. Frequency dependent (2 Hz -10 GHz) conductivity shows universal power law behavior for systems with randomly distributed barriers. Two major applications of nanotube based thin films are included: thin film transistors using semiconductor behavior of percolating nanotube network and transpare electrode of 10-100 nm thick nanotube films. Device applications of the transparent SWNT electrodes: as anodes for organic solar cells, displays, as stretchable electrodes for actuator, and as microwave shielding materials. In the end, light sensitive nanotube hybrids and nanotube composite are discussed in solar cells and bio-fuels.
