Christianity is not made up of mysteries. The only real mysteries have been revealed in Christ Jesus. There are several groups in both the history of the church and in present day that could be called mystery religions but Christianity is not one of them. A mystery in New Testament understanding is something that has been or is in the process of being revealed. This is all the mysteries in this study. In my own study of the mysteries, I find that all mysteries are completed in "The Mystery of Christ." I do not say I have all the answers, only that the plumbing of the depths of the Scripture is itself the journey. It should not be thought that I have totally explained all the questions surrounding these great themes; rather, I have barely skimmed the surface. I will look to you the reader to one day write a greater exposition of these truths than I have done. Christ is not a bystander of these mysteries, rather he is the central figure of which all things converge. Even in the mystery of iniquity, it is to Christ that every assault is aimed. The words of the Apostle Paul ring loudest concerning these mysteries: For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. (1Co. 2:2)
