When I was 26 years old, I first received the Holy Spirit. In an instant, my life was changed forever. I was not looking for it, nor was I interested in spiritual matters. I did believe in God, but I never really turned to Him until that evening. A voice came to me and said, "Well you've tried everything in your life, but you've never tried praying to God." Spontaneously, I started calling to God inside of myself, "God, God, God." Instantly, a force completely enveloped me and began shaking my whole being while I was lying in my bed. I was made to cry and felt very sorry for all of the mistakes that I had made in my life. This lasted for thirty or forty minutes. When it was over I fell asleep very peacefully. I did not know what it was or why this happened to me. When I awoke the next morning, I was amazed at what had happened and I wondered if it could happen again. That evening I started calling to God again, inside of myself, and that same force immediately enveloped me and began shaking my whole body and made me cry once again. After thirty minutes or so, it stopped and I fell asleep again in a very peaceful state. This happened to me every night after that, for another two weeks or so. Since that time, I have been continuously guided by that force, which I now know is the Holy Spirit. Why Almighty God decided to give me this gift, I can honestly say that I do not know. I only know that I feel very grateful to the One Almighty God for giving it to me. I now understand that receiving the Holy Spirit is completely up to Almighty God. All that a person can do is to completely surrender to God and wait to see if God bestows His gift on you. When I received the Holy Spirit, my human soul was reawakened. This was necessary because of all the mistakes that were made by my parents and my ancestors, which I had inherited and also because of the mistakes that I had made in my life. That began a long period of purification, which will probably continue for the rest of my life. One of the results of receiving the Holy Spirit for me was that I learned how to heal myself with my voice. The vibration of my voice is a healing instrument that God has given me. I do not know if it will work for anyone else, but I feel moved to share my experience with everyone and to leave the result to the One Almighty God. Whether you feel to try it or not is completely up to you. It's between you and God.
