The debates on excluded Muslims in India have still not got academic attention in research and discussion except a few. Post Sachar Committee Report (2006), published by Government of India, period has witnessed and brought little change in creating interest among researchers in India and abroad. The present book tries its' best to engulf the dearth of research on excluded Muslims of Hyderabad who were/are occupationally associated with manual scavenging; very few of us know about this reality. The effort is to reflect on the Muslim scavengers and their perspectives of being excluded in Hyderabad. The book will benefit to the researcher and social scientist engaged in the study areas of Muslims, Manual Scavengers, and Scrutiny of Exclusions and excluded communities in India. The occupational social history reflected in the Hindu society has structural impact on the Muslim communities and society. This study is one such ethnographic note on Indian Muslims of present India. With the present volume, a humble effort is done to fill the dearth gap on the studies on excluded Minority groups such as Muslims in India.
