This book is dedicated to Quebec music and contains two parts. The first part of the research aims to investigate the biography and ethnographic interview with the producer André Perry who recorded Cat Stevens, David Bowie, the BeeGees as well as John Lennon's anthem "Give Peace a chance" recorded in 1969 at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. The second part of the book provides an ethnographic description of the compositional work of four creative Quebec musicians as part of a study of the creative process. The author provides a contextual and sociological analysis of each of the pieces while attempting to better understand the motivations at the heart of the creative process of contemporary remixers.
