This book, and the others in its series, has been designed to train piano students to become proficient at reading music. It can be used to train sight-reading or over-all reading skill. This first book of the series is written entirely in common time (4/4), and introduces treble clef (right hand) in five-finger positions in the keys of G and C, giving the student ample time to gain confidence before moving on to bass clef (left hand). It then sets the same standard for bass clef (left hand) before moving on to both hands.
