Osteoarthritis (OA) knee patients usually have major physiological changes like weakness and reduction in flexibility which leads to functional limitations along with that pain, crepitus and swelling around knee. The physiotherapist plays an important role in the health care process of the patients with OA knee. Many number of studies have investigated the effects of exercise on the OA knee, especially only on strengthening and general activities such as mobility and coordination exercise, following these programmes patients have improved with regard to pain, increased walking distance, reductions in the use of medication. However key components of the exercise programmes, namely stretching have received less attention in those literature's. So the objective was to improve the quadriceps strength and hamstring flexibility in patients with OA knee. Hence in detail study performed to find out efficacy of Muscle Energy Technique (MET) on quadriceps strength and hamstring flexibility in OA knee patients.
