This book is a comprehensive review of Municipal Solid Waste management technologies in developed countries such as Germany and developing countries such as China. From the findings of the research work, it is obvious that developed countries despite the advancement in waste handling technologies are still contributing immensely to Green House Gas emissions which the entire world is fighting towards minimizing. For example, the bottom ash generated by incineration waste treatment technology is highly toxic and contaminates ground water when disposed in landfills.
