Malaria still remains one of the most dangerous tropical diseases, killing over 400.000 peopleannually. A vaccines against the sexual stages of Plasmodium would lead to reduced orblocked transmission of the parasite and could be used together with vaccines against bloodand liver stages. Several sexual stage antigens were selected to generate a multi domainvaccine candidate, which was produced and tested in immunization studies as well asfunctional assays.
