Televangelist Suzze Osmond Is On the Run She is half-naked. And barefoot. And she's looking for God. Let's pray she doesn't find him.
Superstar Televangelist Suzze Osmond Has Fallen From Grace. Gone down market. Big time. Nothing sexual. Nor financial.
None of the usual foibles that befall the high and mighty when they crash and burn. Coming down is a bitch and as best she can figure, God himself is out to get her. For a while, she's content to hide out in her empty mansion with only a disapproving angel and an argumentative commode for company. But the answers to what happened, and why, are on the outside. Thus begins Suzze's quest as she treks, half naked and barefoot across recession-racked America, squatting behind dumpsters and slinking down deserted streets, hanging out in paradise and motivating the multitudes - all while struggling to keep her irritable bowel syndrome at bay.
-- Comments from our Focus Group(s) --
1] The opening scene with Suzze dragging the recliner was superb. The bold religious humor allowed me to answer the question: Is this my kind of book? Absolutely.
2] I loved the high priests of the sports world.
3] The personification of Joel is genius and I am drawn into the prosperity theme. You're not a shy writer. Whatever it was, it was always endorsed by God & He knew that the only real truth is to be found in scripture, not in logic. I'm buying what you're selling.
4] Couldn't Put It Down He fell in love with himself...priceless
5] The interaction of the characters is brilliant. The Abraxas reference was awesome...undeniably the best chapter. It is a perfectly structured slice of fiction. apple offered . . apple accepted Perfection
7] Loved the humor... the description of Joel's passing...and looking for Suzze in heaven
8] I love the ironic ending of Dub knocking himself unconscious while Suzze is screaming, -Not my head -
11] Two feelings emerged in this chapter. I was relieved to see her -f-yous-. I felt like I was starting to see the real Suzze emerge. And of course, the shocking ways she chose to do it could not go unmentioned.raw but effective
12] Surprised...a talking toilet? a talking angel statue? But I guess when everything goes to s***, you have to talk someone.
13] Holy S*** Suzze, the modern day, down-on-her luck female Jesus, no way? But wait, there's foot washing. Loved the -extra virgin- olive oil joke. The stats added a unique perspective to the chapter. It gets more magical with every chapter. I almost hear angels singing.
14] Love the humor, love the cleverness, love the developing story, love the War on Christianity theme, love the numbers symbolism, love the hidden symbols.
15] FLOORED...what a way to bring -the sign- to the masses. Has to be one of the most imaginative interpretations ever Bold and in-your-face, but very effective. Just when you thought it couldn't get more shocking...the knife comes out Very powerful chapter.
16] Feel? Invested. Invested in Suzze and John/Jack I am stepping inside the heads of the characters. Couldn't Put It Down
17] Feel? Absolutely tickled. The whole chapter was laugh-out-loud funny. The notorious finger gun? Priceless. Extremely well-defined character...This is where the brilliance shines...BRIGHTLY. I want an Audaciousburger with extra audaciousauce It's an intelligent, fast-paced, easily understood chapter that is pure entertainment. Thought: I don't want this chapter to end...he's the real deal...maybe he can find me a God.
