This book presents methods and models for assessingreliability of supply and infrastructural dependencyin energy distribution systems with multiple energycarriers. The three energy carriers of electricpower, natural gas and district heating are considered. Models and methods for assessing reliability ofsupply in electric power systems are well documented, frequently applied in the industry and continuouslybeing subject to research and improvement. On thecontrary, there are comparatively few examples offormal reliability assessment models and methodsapplied to natural gas and district heating systems. This work aims at contributing to bridge this gap, considering the structural, operational and physicalsimilarities and differences between the systems. The methods and approaches presented are demonstratedby use of simple examples, and applied to testnetworks and case studies.
